Today in art media, we had a sub since Mr.Yap will be out for a while. Last class we planned the film. The in’s and out’s so that today we could get straight to filming. We asked to film outside and we were excused from the group activity. I had brought a gimbal to make the phone recording smoother. We used Jacks iPhone 11 to get great quality. We recorded a chase scene where Logan and Caden chased down Adrian for some unknown personal reason. After getting the shots that we needed, we went inside and transferred the footage via image capture (where you can connect an iPhone to get its photos and videos). Then we put it all in Premiere Pro and started matching the scenes and cutting things around. We soon realized we only had 35 seconds of footage, so we edited what we had and planned to go record a day 2 of the film. Since the 35 seconds end with Adrian getting away. So we improvised and changed the ending so that we can get to our 1 minute mark.

Today in Art Media, we had a sub. Mr.Yap will be out for a few weeks. We needed to make a short one minute film due on Friday. We started off the period by brainstorming ideas. Eventually, we thought of a chase scene where Adrian would be chased by two enemies/ bully’s and they would chase him down the stairs and over railings and even have a fight scene involved. We were doing dry runs slowly to get the motion right and we would plan for Friday when we would get right into the filming. Then I finished off the period by making my WordPress.

On Friday, our main task was to finish up on our websites. The main thing I worked on with my website was making it visually pleasing and adding some of my photography and my first film. Now my website is done, but I think I can do a bit better, so I during the weekend I will work on it.

On Friday, we were in the Halloween spirit. Some people were even dressed up. My job was recording the people who dressed up with the Halloween overlay. After I got all of the footage. I needed to go into Premiere Pro and edit a short film, in this short film I included three seconds of each person in their costume. With some spooky music and some cool effects, the video was complete.

Before I even walked into the class I know what needed to be done. On Google Classroom there was three things I needed to get done. #1 is the 15 second highlight of my presentation, #2 make 6 one minute scrips on mental health and suicide prevention. And lastly this WordPress I am making right now. I have already edited my presentation on my phone and we have most if not all the scrips done. Everyone is helping out and we have at least 3 or 4 already done. That’s what I have done today with the sub in the classroom.

Today is 09/28/2021. We had a sub today and our task was to review films on Filmocracy. We got a free ticket before that so we could watch the films and rate them. We all got the ticket for free but when we did the steps to get to the little village with the theaters to watch the movies it would say “access denied” because we need a promo code or pay for premium. Then I thought about the code we got earlier for free. So I copy and pasted it exactly and it say no code found. Then we told the sub that we could not work it. She told us to work on other work from different classes.

Today in art media class we did something very exciting. We did voice recordings. I was behind the scenes bring you some looks behind the scenes. Antonio the voice actor was full of life and had many voices that were funny or impressive. Inside the booth there were led lights and lots of equipment transferring Antonio’s voice. The main steps to recording the voice are, making sure that the outside booth is on the same channel as inside. Once all is synced Antonio connected his phone audio to the speakers so he could have some background music when he sings. We got it on the second take. Once we got a recording of his voice alone we needed a recording of the music alone. Finally we mixed the two and the project was done.

Today in art media class, the day didn’t start how we expected. Being in charge of directing the video recording, meant the actors in front of the camera and the behind the scenes helpers relied on me to set up the scene and make sure everything looks and sounds good. Today’s assignment was making a reaction video to Spider-Man No Way Home. Our main setback was the green screen animated Spider-Man. We had never worked with something like this where something is moving on the screen that isn’t there in real life. We quickly adjusted and decided to not have the looped Tom Holland in the back but in front with the actors reacting to the trailer. This really chopped our time in half. After figuring the chroma key on the green screen we quickly started to record our first take. All was going smoothly until I realized there where 2 big problems with the film we were producing. The main problem was the green screen. On camera it was in front of the table masking half the table, hiding some faces, and making the proportion awkward. The second problem was the mic sound. We had the mic pointed up meaning the audio of the trailer was not heard and you couldn’t hear the 2 people in the back. We soon resolved all the problems and on Take 2 we successfully recorded a reaction to the new Spider-Man No Way Home trailer.
